Annotation: Gain practical experience with PC controlling of laboratory instruments, data acquisition and data processing.

Course review:
1st group of exercises * Controlling 2D motorized stages using G-code. * Software for driving CMOS camera and data acquisition. * Controlling dynamics of linear stage used for scanning interferometry. * Processing of set of snapshots from a white light interferometer. 2nd group of exercises * Controlling operation of a pulse counter, data acquisition and interpretation. * Real time visualization of data acquired from an instrument. * Communication through optical line. * Measuring 2D tomography of an optical beam using point probe. * Experimental setup using chopped optical signal and synchronous detection. 3rd group of exercises * Record of the time evolution of a spectrum. * Triggered record of the spectrum of a plasma and its interpretation. * Controlling of a monochromator with a photodiode. * Scanning a tomography of a 3D object. 4th group of exercises * Laser beam power stabilization. * Programming of two-channel D/A converter and creation of X-Y diagrams. * Deciphering of a byte send via serial port RS-232. * Communication between computers in a TCP/IP net.
