Experimental methods of study of structure of crystalline materials, Laue and Bragg diffraction condition, atomic and structural scattering factor, diffraction of X-rays, diffraction of electrons and neutrons, electron microscopy, special methods (tunneling microscopy, atomic force microscopy, etc.)
Ideal and real crystal, defects in crystals - vacancies, interstitial atoms, impurities, excitons, condensation of excitons, influence of defects on physical properties, dislocations and strength of solid materials
Oscillations of lattices and overview of theories of heat capacities (classical, Einstein, Debye and Born-Karmán theory)
