Annotation: The aim is to give students information about optical measuring methods on basic laser doppler anemometry.

- Principles of the theory of optic interference - Optics of Gaussian beams - Doppler's effect in optics - Principles of laser anemometry and basic classification of the methods (LDA, interferometry method) - Fourier approach to laser anemometry - Principles and technical realization of laser anemometry devices, techniques of recording and processing of the signals, interpretation of the results, measurement errors - Methods of flow visualization, PIV methods - Applications in mechanics of continuum
