Annotation: The objective of the course is to acquaint students with the optical technologies, classical and modern, non-classical techniques for working in the engineering industry.

-Importance and specification of optical technologies, drawing of an optical component -Assistant materials in optical manufacturing, mechanical machining of fragile materials -Measurements in optical manufacturing, classification of materials, basic shaping, kinematics of machines for treatment of optical components -Fine cutting, lapping, polishing and centering of spherical, rotational and non-rotational aspherical surfaces -Final operations, production of thin layers, classical and modern elements of optical technologies -Production of aspheric optical surfaces -Optical, mechanical and chemical properties of optical glasses, production of optical glass -Other materials in optical manufacturing - organic glasses, technical ceramics, special glasses -Properties and production of monocrystals -Basic mechanical properties of materials -Metallic, ceramic and plastic materials, affecting of their properties -Description of basic mechanical technologies
