Annotation: Basics of measurements of biophysical quantities in medicine and their classification from the viewpoint of invasiveness

Course review:
-Basics of measurements of biophysical quantities in medicine and their classification from the viewpoint of invasiveness or non-invasiveness and attained level of accuracy and amount of obtained diagnostic information -Classification from the viewpoint of a degree of interaction between measuring method and living organism and influence on results of the measurements -Measuring methods from the viewpoint of the application of sensors and realization of their connection on measured biological medium and from the viewpoint of fine mechanical conception of these sensors and applications of variety of optical, semiconducting and classical components including progressive technological and material structures -Basic principles, construction concept and basics of clinical applications of measuring methods for measurement of biological pressures, biological force, mass, flow of gases and liquids, movement of tissue structures and measurement of temperatures including distributions of temperature gradients -Measuring of electrical manifestations of living organisms -Methods of measurement of intra-body medium on the basis of methods of physical chemistry -Measuring methods in ophthalmology (especially impression tonometry) -Special materials in biomedicine and issue of their biocompatibility -Stimulation techniques, artificial organs and prosthesis
