Annotation: Basics of astrooptics.
Course review:
1. Basics of geometrical optics. Paraxial optics. Matrix optics. Ray tracing.
2. Optical aberations. Chromatic and monochromatic aberrations.
3. History of the telescope.
4. Refractor, achromat, apochromat.
5. Reflecting telescope - 1 mirror, conics, off-axis aberrations.
6. Reflecting telescope - 2 mirrors, mirror bending, Ritchey-Cretien telescope, segmented mirrors.
7. 3- and 4- mirror telescopes.
8. Schmidt a Maksutov cameras, correcting plates, meniscus correctors. Schmidt-Cassegrain and Maksutov-Cassegrain telescopes.
9.Accessories: eyepieces, mounts, focal correctors, Barlow lens, filters, atmospheric dispersion correctors.
10.Wave analysis of the telescope, resolving power, contrast, optical response and transfer functions, apodization.
11.Modern astronomy telescopes, cosmic telescopes, fighting atmosperic turbulences: speckle interferometry, adaptive optical systems.
12. Astrooptics in observational astronomy. Demonstration of astronomical telescopes and accessories.
